Dr. Tiffany Lara

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who possesses a strong passion for conducting evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Michigan (Go Blue). In addition, I earned my Master's and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. While completing my Doctorate, I was privileged to train within an inpatient psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents, the Catholic school system, and a therapeutic day school setting. Following graduation, I worked with children ages birth to seven conducting developmental evaluations, as well as facilitating parent-child play therapy. I then moved on to an inpatient psychiatric hospital and was initially employed as a Staff Psychologist and within less than a year was promoted to Director of Psychological Services where I was responsible for overseeing the clinical psychology training program, conducting psychological evaluations, and was a member of the hospital's leadership team. From there, I worked as a Team Lead Psychologist within a therapeutic day school setting where I oversaw the clinical programming for grades 3-8, conducted psychological evaluations both in-house and for area school districts, maintained a therapy caseload, and was part of the Administrative team. During the past few years, I have also worked part-time completing remote psychoeducational evaluations for individuals to receive educational, testing or workplace accommodations, as well as remote job suitability and fitness for duty evaluations for first responders and public safety officials.

In my free time, I enjoy watching and attending sporting events, spending time with my family, reading, working on puzzles, and going to concerts. I am also a big fan of researching new restaurants and vacation destinations to add to my wish list.
