I am a counseling intern currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a Ph.D. in Psychology and my experience is rooted in working with adults facing a spectrum of challenges, from trauma, anxiety, difficulties in relationships, self-discovery and health conditions.
My therapeutic approach is centered around creating an environment where clients can feel safe and supported, enabling them to openly explore their deepest concerns. My passion for people extends beyond clinical practice. I am a fervent advocate for clients, striving to understand them beyond their diagnoses.
My background includes serving as an HIV counselor and holding a Clinical Trauma Specialist certification, underscoring my dedication to supporting those facing significant life challenges. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to improve clients' quality of life, a goal that has been central to pursuing a career as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
My involvement in community support programs reflects my commitment to making a difference. I actively participate in initiatives supporting individuals with Mental Illness, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, HIV/AIDS and Cancer, demonstrating my holistic approach to mental health and well-being.
Outside of my professional life, I cherish spending time with family and friends, traveling, and networking, which enrich my personal growth and professional network.
