Post-Doctoral Fellow
Lombard, IL / Hybrid
Lotus Bloom Psychology offers a postdoctoral fellowship that is a planned and programmed sequence of training focused on preparing fellows for advanced practice. Fellows are provided two hours of individual supervision per week, one hour of group supervision per week, and one additional hour of clinical staff meetings per week. Clinical staff meetings rotate their focus throughout each month providing clinical staff with opportunities for case consultation, continuing education, group supervision, and didactic training. Additionally, peer consultation is available as needed.
Fellows are eligible to specialize in multiple areas within the practice. Please indicate in your application materials the specialization that interests you the most. Assignment to each specialization will be discussed during the interview process.
Diagnostic Testing Services Department
Fellows interested in spending the majority of their time conducting neuropsychological assessments would be a good fit for this department. Fellows are expected to carry a small therapy caseload in addition to their testing duties and are expected to complete two testing intakes per week at minimum.
Clinical Services Department
Fellows interested in spending the majority of their time conducting therapy sessions would be a good fit for this department. Therapy can take many forms including individual, couples, families, groups, and parent guidance. Additionally, fellows specializing in age specific populations, such as child/adolescent development, are able to focus their skill development within this department. We have a variety of theoretical orientations at the practice; however, all clinicians incorporate a relational approach to their work to some degree. The relational approach is what binds us together as a group practice.
Translation Services Department
Fellows interested in providing clinical services in languages other than English would be a good fit within this department. Our practice currently has the infrastructure to provide services in Spanish and we have clients looking for services in Spanish. We are open to providers interested in providing services in other languages. While this is a developing effort, the practice supports the process of translating documentation and incorporating additional language services into our marketing.
