Aubrey Bornhoff, PsyD

she/her

Staff Clinician

I am a licensed psychologist who brings a warm, client-centered approach to my work. With five years of graduate-level training, two years of postdoctoral supervision, and one and a half years of independent practice, I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults seeking comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations. I have a specialty in assessing individuals 4-25. I frequently assess for ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD/Complex Trauma, among other presenting concerns. Whether it is for a first-time diagnosis or a last attempt to find an answer to ongoing challenges, I would be honored to partner with you in that process.

My personal style involves recognizing that I am the expert in the tests I administer, and you are the expert of your own (or your child’s) unique story. I view the testing process as collaborative, seeking to understand your strengths and struggles to inform a diagnosis and determine a path forward. I want to be an ongoing resource to individuals and families that I work with, whenever future consultation or follow-up evaluations are needed.

I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Valparaiso University. I earned my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Wheaton College. I trained at a suburban private practice, where I conducted neuropsychological assessments, at Linden Oaks Behavioral Health (IOP/PHP), where I led therapy groups, and at a rural community health center, offering therapy and testing services. My doctoral-level internship was at a community mental health center in Colorado, where I provided individual therapy services to a largely Latino/Latina neighborhood, group therapy for a substance abuse program, and intake assessments at a local behavioral health urgent care. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology, within a private practice and a local hospital. Most recently, I provided exclusively neuropsychological testing services to individuals across the lifespan at Amity Psychological Services, a private practice where the primary clients were South Asian. I am excited to join Lotus Bloom Psychology to continue providing high-quality testing services.

Past research projects in my graduate program included the topics of treatment-resistant depression and negative religious coping/experiences.

Outside of the office, I enjoy audiobooks, disc golf, board games, spending time with friends and family, and walking in local forest preserves.
