At Lotus Bloom Psychology, our online sessions are designed to feel just as personal, connected, and effective as meeting in person—while giving you the flexibility your life requires.

Virtual Therapy FAQs

  • Virtual therapy (also called telehealth) is a live video session with your therapist using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You’ll meet face-to-face in real time, just as you would in the office.

    All you need is:

    • A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera

    • A stable internet connection

    • A private, comfortable space

  • Virtual therapy is a great fit for:

    • Busy parents juggling multiple responsibilities

    • Teens balancing school, activities, and social stress

    • Adults looking for flexible, consistent support

    • Clients who feel more comfortable opening up at home

    • Individuals outside of our immediate area

    We currently offer our online counseling services to adolescents and adults residing in Illinois.

  • Yes. Research shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns.

    Many clients also find that they:

    • Attend sessions more consistently

    • Feel more comfortable in their own space

    • Experience less stress around scheduling and travel

  • Yes. We are in-network with BlueCross BlueShield and Aetna. We offer a free, 15-minute consultation to check your benefits coverage and provide an estimate.

  • The cost of services will vary based on your insurance plan.
     

    If you are uninsured or self-paying, each 50-minute session is $200.

    Group therapy sessions are $75.

    We also offer payment plans and sliding-scale payments on a limited basis. Please contact us for more information.

  • No, at this time we do not accept Medicare/Medicaid.

  • Yes. We work with adults with ADHD at all stages—whether you’ve been recently diagnosed, have suspected ADHD, or have been managing it for years.

    Our approach goes beyond just symptom management. We help you better understand how your brain works while building practical strategies for things like organization, time management, focus, and emotional regulation. We also address the impact ADHD can have on self-esteem, relationships, and burnout.

    All our clinicians are ADHD-CCSP trained and take a neurodiversity-affirming approach, meaning we focus on supporting your strengths while helping you navigate challenges in a way that fits your life.

  • Yes, we offer therapy services in both English and Spanish.
