Therapy for Teens in Illinois

Adolescence can be a challenging time—for both teens and parents. At Lotus Bloom Psychology, we provide compassionate therapy for teens, either in-person at our Lombard office or virtually anywhere in Illinois. Our goal is to help teens navigate big emotions, changing identities, and growing responsibilities with confidence.

Our Approach

Grounded in adolescent development, neuroscience, and the power of supportive relationships, our clinicians create inclusive, culturally sensitive spaces where teens feel safe to express themselves and families feel supported. We focus not only on easing challenges, but also on helping teens build skills, resilience, and confidence as they move toward adulthood.

Our goal is simple: to help your teen thrive—and to empower your family with the tools, knowledge, and confidence you need along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

1 / Is the consultation actually free?

Yes! This is a unique service we offer to ensure your child gets matched with the right clinician and that you feel comfortable and supported in starting your journey with Lotus Bloom Psychology.

2 / Are consultations online or in-person?

Your 15-minute consultation is done virtually, either through a virtual meeting or via phone, whichever works best for you.

3 / What insurance do you accept?

We are in-network with BCBS PPO, BCBS Choice, Aetna PPO, and United Healthcare PPO. We are out of network with Cigna. We also offer self-pay options as well as sliding scale payments. Learn more on our Fees page.

4 / Do you offer ADHD and autism testing?

Yes, our team specializes in diagnostic evaluations for ADHD and Autism, as well as other developmental and learning differences. You can learn more about our testing services here.

5 / How should I prepare for my consultation?

Once scheduled, you’ll be asked to complete our online paperwork and upload your child's insurance information through our secure client portal. This helps us review your coverage and payment options during your consultation.

6 / Why start with a consultation?

No pressure, no cost … just clarity. This is your chance to ask questions before you commit and get personalized guidance to connect you with the right therapist for your child.

7 / Do you also support parents and caregivers in the therapy process?

Yes. We know that when parents feel supported, children do better. That’s why we offer parent guidance alongside individual and family therapy. In these sessions, we help caregivers understand child development and behavior through the lens of neuroscience, and we provide practical tools for managing challenges at home and strengthening family relationships. Our goal is to empower parents with strategies and confidence so they can support their child’s growth both inside and outside the therapy room.

8 / Do caregivers attend sessions?

Depending on your child’s age and needs, some sessions may involve parents or caregivers, while others focus just on the child.

9 / What ages of children do you see?

We work with children as young as preschool through the teenage years.
